American actor and rapper Earl Simmons, born December 18, 1970 and passed away on April 9, 2021. His debut album It's Hot and Dark was released in 1998 to critical and commercial success. It sold over 251,000 copies within the first week. In 1999, DMX released... and Then There Was X. The album included the hit song "Party up (Up in Here). His singles "Where the Hood At?" and "X Gon Give It to You?" in 2003 were also commercial hits. and "X Will Give It To Ya" were also commercially successful. The release came in the summer of 1988 and began to produce and sell mixtapes of his own. In these mixtapes his raps were a re-mix of songs by other artists and sold them on street corners. This helped him develop his own fan base in New York. DMX made an appearance on The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show in 1991 alongside Percee P on which they both performed freestyles.
