Killmer is originally from Texas was educated her studies at Baylor University Waco Texas where she received the bachelor of fine arts. degree in performing arts in 2010. She started her acting career in 2010 when she appeared in the web-series Simon Fuller's If I Can Dream. Kara Killmer debuted on screen after starring in many local plays in Simon Fuller's series on Hulu If I Can Dream pilot in 2010. The show was centered around the group of people who first settled within Hollywood California.
