Harry
Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is an British composer and vocalist. Harry Styles was one of the original members of One Direction. Born in Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England, on 1 February 1994, he is the son of Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles went to the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, along with three of his classmates, formed a music band called White Eskimo. They were the winners of the Battle of Bands in 2009, thanks to their outstanding results. Despite having an interest in music he also wanted to be a lawyer or physiotherapist. Part-time work in a city bakery was his first job to make money for his family. The year was 2010. Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he did the track Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. This meant that the group he was in had to be disbanded. The audition was held on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles join the group that was to be called One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to create the group in 2010. The band performed songs like My Life Would Suffer Without You, by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. This made the group one of the contenders for the award. They were however in third place in the third place, behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell did not get the win in the contest. However, Cowell gave Harry Styles a 2 million pounds contract with Syco.
